Shopify App Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your installation and use of CartonPilot Packing Optimizer (the “App”) on the Shopify platform. They supplement our general Terms of Service and the App's Privacy Policy, which also apply. By installing the App you agree to all three documents.

2. The Service

The App provides packing recommendations for your store's orders: which carton (or cartons) from your configured box lineup an order should ship in, along with estimated fill rates and weights. Recommendations are computed by CartonPilot's optimization engine from the dimensions and weights you provide.

3. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate product and carton dimensions and weights. Recommendations are only as good as the measurements behind them.
• Verify that recommended packing configurations are appropriate for your products (e.g. fragile, regulated, or perishable goods may need handling the engine is not configured for).
• Maintain your own carrier accounts and shipping arrangements. The App does not purchase labels or contract with carriers on your behalf.

4. Estimates, Not Guarantees

Savings figures, carrier cost estimates, and dimensional weight calculations shown by the App are estimates based on published list rates and the data you provide. Actual carrier invoices depend on your negotiated rates, surcharges, and carrier measurement practices, and may differ. The App does not guarantee any particular savings.

5. Fees

Fees for the App, if any, are presented at installation or upgrade through Shopify's billing system. Use of the CartonPilot API outside the App is billed separately per our pricing page.

6. Termination

You may uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or abuse of the service. Data handling on uninstall is described in the App's Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers & Liability

The App is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the App is limited as set out in our general Terms of Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
